The benefits of exercising in the morning are: • You are more ‘fresh’ in mornings. Usually you will have more energy in the mornings since you will have just recently awakened from sleep, than training in the afternoon, or evening. This will allow you to have a better, more efficient workout, where you are able to exert more effort, even maximum effort. • You are able to increase the amount of fat that you burn more efficiently because you will be coming off of a fasting state when you train in the morning, especially first thing. If you are able to exercise on an empty stomach, you will also tap into fat stores more easily, before you break your fast, and eat. • Exercising already makes your body more sensitive to insulin, so doing it in the morning heightens that sensitivity

It is a good thing to start the day off with exercise because you are able to get the blood and oxygen circulating first thing which allows your body and your brain to feel more awake, loose, stimulated and ready for the day.

Exercising in the morning also is also very beneficial for those who enjoy being outside because the temperature is cooler in the morning than later on in the or even in the evening when temperatures are higher, especially in the spring, and summer months. So the quality of your workout is going to be better because your energy levels will not diminish as rapidly as it would in warmer or hot. • Also, it increases compliance because it makes it easier to turn exercising into a habit because you are able to perform it first before activities of the day, and • fewer outside distractions exist in the morning, especially before most people wake up, like between 4:30am- 5:30am, to hinder, or interrupt you from exercising!

There are mental and physical benefits to exercising in the morning: • Physically, you body releases endorphins more effectively in the morning because you are well rested and coming off sleep. This helps you to have a euphoric feeling and is a great way to start off the day, feeling good and being positive! • Also exercising in the morning releases boosts the brain power by releasing norepinephrine, and other neurohormones that helps boost the brain’s s functioning, and mental activity. • Aerobic exercise turns on genes in the brain that grows new brain cells in the brain’s memory and reverse memory decline.
