Dr. Kien Vuu is a multi-faceted physician carving a distinctive path integrating traditional western, eastern, alternative forms of medicine, and epigenetics.  A clinical professor of medicine at the UCLA - David Geffen School of Medicine, Dr. Vuu also practices Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology at UCLA-Olive View Medical Center.  Life as a Chinese-Vietnamese refugee arriving in the U.S. as a penniless child and achieving heights in the medical profession underscores what drives the man.

Telling the truth & avoiding telling lies can lead to better health in the long run.

Telling lies leads to stress response and cortisol release which contribute to diabetes, high blood pressure, and decreased immunity (therefore lying can contribute to control disease).

Other physiological effects of lying: depletion of executive control regions of the brain, elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure.

Telling the truth can foster release of oxytocin which can counteract the deleterious effects of cortisol.
