Speaking Point: I recently prepared a top manageress through her opening speech for an international event for women, initiated by one of the biggest companies in Germany. We started the opening with a statement of Carol Frenier , US author of Business and the Feminine Principle: "One of my friends said, that the only women, (...) who were really successful had taken on the traits of men.” Speaking Point: And still today many women feel that things seem to have changed on the surface, but they also realize, they did not change deep down.Because of former health problems exploring and making a career as a woman has been on my journey since 20 years. I therefore arrogantly thought in the beginning, “This whole preparation for the international event for women in Germany will be a kindergarten conversation for me”. Greatly humbled by reality, I was amazed how easy it was to bring my experiences and thoughts to the table. Speaking Point: Besides the fact that it still takes time to really integrate and naturally own the qualities of the feminine principle into workplaces – there is an opening towards understanding the female spirit and its values, which are so needed in today’s world. Speaking Point: Fact is: Women are broken open to grow into their original strength. The old tradition of career building MAINLY based on masculine principles is about to transform. Speaking Point: The old way: competitive fighting, hunting for projects, contracts and appreciation, adrenal pumping pressure building, aggressive marketing strategies or tight agendas dictated by high expectations, goals and deadlines. Speaking Point: I agreed with my client that – although we do not know the ultimate answer in how to live our true selves in the modern world - we for sure have a gut feeling that resonates in our hearts as women:• we stop acting as victims• we stop justifying• we stop acting on masculine traditions to make a career• we stop feeling guilty• we finally put down the weapons of fight• we start to relax in our female power, not only using our intellectual but also our intuitive and emotional intelligence• we start to explore patiently and one step at a time the soft voice of our hearts • we practice courage to speak and express our hearts• we start to stand up for ourselves as women and show our vulnerability, sensitivity and body wisdom Speaking Point: we learn – day by day - to surrender to life itself and trust in its flow and its own timing as the ultimate authority• we start to remember to act from an inner knowingness that sees the bigger picture• we start to gently and slowly over time recognize that “the dark night of the soul” is no longer as threatening as it seems to be, but that it is part of life and that the sun is always coming back, just by itself…a journey of faith and surrender…one step at a time.• we start to use our female strength as a force that yields and builds from the inside out• we accept that life is a classroom, in which we learn and we learn and we learn…• and for most, we start to learn to be soft with ourselves Speaking Point: And when we get up in the morning, before we go to work, we whisper the words that we long to really and fully live one day…“… my strength comes from an inner knowingness and faith in myself. I accept what is to accept and I change what I feel to change. The warmth, vibrancy, integrity and intelligence of my heart break barriers. In touching the hearts of people, I get right to the core of what really matters.”…Abstract from Visionary Women by Jeanine van Seenus
