Speaking Point: As someone whose life purpose is continually unfolding, I find it fascinating when I hear myself say things like, "I don't know what I'm supposed to do". Then I remind myself that life is truly about being of service and doing what "fires you up" is what that purpose is all about. Speaking Point: Get angry - Know your passion - Find your purpose! What is it that "lights" you up? When you really look at yourself, how you speak and what excites you then you have a good clue as to what is your life purpose. Speaking Point: Living a life of purpose - Very rarely does life hit you over the head and say "this is your purpose, do this!" We have free will, finding purpose in life is deciding what you want your life's purpose to be. Speaking Point: Finding purpose - So many of us wander through the years waiting for something to happen. In order to live your purpose you must be passionate about the things you love and make those things your purpose! I personally light up when I can share some information that I've learned about the world that will help someone else and/or when I can share information about my personal journey that may help or inspire someone else. That fires me up! So, I created an entire online show all about sharing information. Speaking Point: Step One -Conscious Anger. Look at what makes you anrgy. This is a good clue to what your true life purpose is. What makes you angry? Now, look at that and think about what you can do to make that situation better. When you take action regarding that anger in a positive way then you are living your life purpose. Speaking Point: Step Two-Explore. Start to take action by experimenting with the ideas you have about what angers/excites you. Taking action can be anything from doing research to volunteering. Surround yourself with the what you are thinking about. If you love kids then you could volunteer at an after school program or look for a job at a child advocacy law office. The possibilites are up to you. Speaking Point: Step Three-Narrow things down. You will pretty quickly find out if this passion/purpose is a surface issue or something deeper. When you tune into what lies deep within you then you have landed on a purpose. When this does happen, whcih it will, keep tuning in to the things that "light" you up. Maybe being a advocate doesn't work for you but going back to school to become a pediatric nurse does. If not, try something else. Speaking Point: Interspection. Your life purpose will generally come out of lack. This is when you get to make lemonade out of the lemons that life gives you. It's an opportunity to make right the wrongs that you suffered. Your purpose won't alway come from pain but it often can. What is it that you wanted more than anything in the world that you didn't get? What was done to you that hurt you so much? Take those things and turn them into positives. Become the advocate you needed for others and heal your wounds in the process.
