The truth is that in today’s world more than ever in history, Moms and Dads have closed the gap on the skills and actual roles of taking care of their families. Speaking Point: 2. Moms and Dads both take on the roles necessary to provide the functional direction as well as the emotional climate for the family to thrive. Speaking Point: 3. Parents today must understand their role of developing a healthy Family Culture. Speaking Point: 4. Parents must create the rules, roles, responsibilities, and relationships in the family culture to promote healthy growth in their children. Speaking Point: 5. Parents must understand the importance in rituals that help define the family and the identity of each family member. Speaking Point: 6. Parents must understand the strengths and weaknesses they possess and that of their counterpart, so that they can rely on the strengths of each parent to fill the void of the other. Speaking Point: 7. Dads are not competent and Moms are not the only one responsible. Moms and Dads can partner and create the vision of their family together and live the roles necessary to be successful.
