Speaking Point: Somewhere in the Trayvon Martin case, someone dropped the ball. The police needed to follow procedures, that’s why procedures are in place – to protect us. Speaking Point: For example, they should have checked to see if George Zimmerman had drugs or alcohol in his system, since he claimed to have a broken nose they should have taken him to a hospital, and they should have seized his gun. Speaking Point: Murder is murder, the dead have no race. Speaking Point: Minorities are stereotyped and will continue to be until we change our nation, starting with our government and our politicians. They have to stop hating on each other on national television, national radio. We need them to be better leaders, become examples by showing and not telling. Speaking Point: Democrats and Republicans all believe that they are doing the best thing they can for the country. They can’t even agree on the facts anymore, let’s sit down at the table and have a civil, real discussion.
