Speaking Point: Seriously, a 51 year old man marrying 16 year old girl? Seriously? What is this world coming to, when parents actually allow their child to marry a 51 year old guy? What is wrong with this man that he needs to marry a mere child, even though she does not look like one, she is, none the less.

Speaking Point: This is emotional neglect by the parents. What were the parents thinking?

Speaking Point: Is this condoned pedophilia? The definition of a pedophile is a person who is sexually attracted to children. This is morally illegal, as she is under age.

Speaking Point: Statutory rape is any sexual activity involving teens and children under the age of consent is considered rape, even when both partners are willing. Breaking any laws? While statutory rape and similar laws were written to protect children from abuse by older, predatory partners, teenagers can get caught in the crossfire.

Speaking Point: Teens are developmentally incapable of making decisions of this caliber. That is why they don’t vote, drink, and drive. Recent research that suggests changes in the prefrontal cortex during adolescence may influence teens' ability to regulate their emotions. neuroscientists have felt for many years that the brain is remarkably pliable and remains pliable for a fair number of years. The concept that the first three years of life is when there's the most malleability and, after that, we lose it, is based on a misreading of some of the most basic neuroscience work.

Speaking Point: Teens brains can't multitask as well as those of the taskmasters. Trust, however, that they'll grow out of it. The part of the brain responsible for multitasking continues to develop until late adolescence, with cells making connections even after some children are old enough to drive, according to a new study in the May/June issue of the journal Child Development.

Speaking Point: Role models are diminishing quickly for our teen girls. This is due to the highly sexually reality show that are on TV.

Speaking Point: Publicity stunt, I hope not! What a waste of time and energy for all of us.

Speaking Point: Are the parent’s goldiggers? It would not surprise me a bit.

Speaking Point: Could this be a midlife crisis for Doug?
