Susan Gold
|
|
|
|

Susan Gold got her basic combat boot training at top talent agency,
ICM in New York City. She quickly moved on to form her own talent
brokerage firm, Celebrity Talent, providing celebrities, athletes
and entertainers for endorsements, promotions and events. While
running the company, among her many feats, Susan convinced a semi-reclusive
Andy Warhol to do a television spot with his pugs for a Pontiac
campaign that former ad agency owner Donny Deutch claims as his
best; Susan also persuaded Donna Rice, on the heels of the Gary
Hart fiasco, to endorse No Excuses Jeans; she also influenced Aretha
Franklin to sing out for Kinney Shoe Corporation.
 Applying
her skills directly to television programming, Susan began providing
celebrity talent for such broadcast and cable networks as NBC, BRAVO,
VH-1, A& E, IFC and CNBC, among others. In a similar fashion, Susan
put together a highly-successful
celebrity
campaign for America‘s Talking, which impressed then-prexy Roger
Ailes so much that he invited her to become a producer. Susan‘s
strong, natural presence also landed her a coveted spot as on- air
entertainment correspondent for the morning show. Ailes once again
enlisted Susan‘s expertise in launching the groundbreaking and incredibly
successful Fox News Channel. While there, Susan created a weekly
film review for FNC that was picked up nationally by Fox stationsthroughout
the country.
In 1997,
Susan was invited to Los Angeles to provide talent for the syndicated
talk variety strip, “Arthel & Fred.” She also began field producing
A-list talent interviews and segments for star-focused series on
AMC, BRAVO
and
the Sundance Channel.
Expanding
her branding, Susan became head of development at SOS Multimedia
where she produced such high-profile events as the Closing Night
of the Houston Astrodome which featured such personalities as President
and Mrs. Bush, The Judds, Kenny Rogers, Mac Davis, The Gatlins,
Charley Pride and other country music greats.
She was
also part of the talented SOS producing team who enlisted Disney
Imagineering greats
and
orchestrated the groundbreaking rear projection technology for country
star Martina McBride‘s Christmas tour which smashed all box office
records and boosted sales of the Holiday Album into the stratosphere
and shepherded the Hallmark Channel original teleplay Ordinary Miracles.
Most recently,
Susan was a show runner of the AMC original series “Sunday Morning
Shootout,” overseeing all talent booking, execution and content.
The flagship series is an industry talk show hosted by “Variety”
editor-in-chief, Peter Bart, and Mandalay Entertainment‘s, Peter
Guber. The weekly show features engaging conversation with Hollywood‘s
elite including: Denzel Washington, Hilary Swank, Jude Law, Kevin
Spacey, Annette Bening, Bruce Willis, Ashton Kutcher, Adrien Brody,
Morgan Freeman, Stephen Spielberg, Oliver Stone and many more.
