Actress, AJ Johnson, at the age of 17 lost her mother to cancer. Several years later A.J.’s dad told her from his death bed, “you’re not able to save me, but take all of who you are and what you know and go save the world”. He may not have known that his words would lead her to redefine her life’s purpose and dedicate a good part of her life to doing just that.

When she is not sharing the screen with Julia Roberts, Ving Rhames or Sylvester Stallone, A.J. is one of the most world renowned lifestyle coaches and wellness advocates around. Her zest for health and wellness and her passion for philanthropy lead her to create THE AJ ZONE, Inc. As A.J. told ALLHIPHOP.com, “We do not do personal training...how do you train Stevie Wonder to do anything? Hahahaha-how do you train T.O to be faster? These individuals are at the top of their game looking for more than just better performance, they’re looking for better lives and by watching my life, they believe I have the answers!!”

Hosting and producing for television and radio, A.J. created a wellness segment for WE channels “Savvy”, hosted VH-1’s reality fitness competition, “From Flab to Fab” and most recently, she appeared on “THE WENDY WILLIAMS EXPERIENCE”, and “Baisden After Dark” as an expert discussing “Obesity in Black America.” A.J. is also active with reoccurring radio for the New York, Atlanta, Miami, Baltimore, Los Angeles and Chicago areas. A.J. grew up in a very academic household in rural New Jersey. Even though she felt drawn towards the arts from a very young age, her academic household and guidance pushed A.J. to become a Psychology/Chemistry major at Spellman College in Atlanta, Ga. AJ graduated Magna cum Laude in Psychology but her artistic calling would not be silenced. “When it came time to finally decide between med school and Hollywood, I decided to give myself a year or two in L.A. to see what could happen…. I moved to LA, was there two months, and I’ve been working ever since.” AJ has appeared on a number of television series and her feature film roles include hits like Hollywood’s hall of fame House Party, Skin Deep, The Inkwell, Assassins with Sylvester Stallone, Dying Young with Julia Roberts, Sister Act with Whoopi Goldberg, and the critically acclaimed Baby Boy.
